I am starting this now so that maybe by the time the midterms roll around that enough bloggers will have read it to actually do some good. It is too simple a concept for it not to work.
Everyone who runs a blog knows that the surest way to get people read it is to post a hot chick, and then wait for Google images to pin it up. Stacy McCain calls it rule #5 postings. I will get back to this in a minute.
Next I want to tell you something else that you already know. More people in this country are likely to know who won the Super Bowl, or what bowl game their state college is up for than the fact that Obama left four people to die in Binghazi just to save his political career. We are dealing with very low (political) information people here.
Now think about who reads your blog. The people who read political blogs are political junkies that already know how they are going to vote before they come to your site. We spend ninety-nine percent of our time preaching to the choir. We have a couple of thousand conservative blogs out there pounding the keys, doing a great job of keeping other conservative bloggers informed about what to be pissed off about. But are we actually doing any good? The answer is no.
Now back to the rule #5 postings. BigFurHat put up a link on IOTW titled Smokin’ Hot NASCAR’s Danica Patrick Naked Breast Autograph Pic. And it has been in the “The Most Popular Posts of the Week” section for damn near a year – damn near a year! There is absolutely no telling how many NASCAR fanatics that have clicked on that pic (found on Google images), and then subsequently exposed to IOTW’s Obama bashing. The trouble is that most of them are from the South, and would rather take a shower at Penn State than to vote for Obama anyway.
The Senate races are coming up, and every one of these states support college sports. Some of them even have pro teams. And every one of them have cheerleaders. I wonder what would have happened in Ohio if every conservative blog would have put up one rule #5 posting with a brief summary or the Benghazi slaughter titled “Smoking Hot Ohio State Cheerleaders” six weeks before the presidential election?
Who Googles Cleveland Browns Cheerleaders?
The people who live in Ohio!
Oh yea! Liberalism is destroying America in case you found this link on Google images.
