Okay, so I might have jazzed up my email a little just to get a response. But how else was I going to recruit anyone important?
Part of my email:
I am asking 50 of the brightest minds in the conservative blogosphere their views, so that I can compile a set a blogging best practices to help act as a guide for the thousands of grassroots conservative bloggers — so that as a
group we can be more effective at both attacking liberals and spreading the conservative message.
And it worked. I sent it 5,514 times looking for the fifty sharpest bloggers — the response was instantaneous and overwhelming (nineteen). Or it was until the word hit the streets that Angry White Dude wanted to play.
At that point no one else would give input. I think they knew that AWD would set the bar so high that I would turn them away. So I put the rest of the contributors in just as filler, and sent him a letter of apology for including him with the back benchers.
I think it is okay now:
(Angry White Dude) – What the!? AWD being put into the same league as Big Fur Hat (may many furry hats be upon him) and Pamela Geller (may peace and death to jihad be upon her!)….count me in! If this guy is including AWD in with the 50 brightest minds in the conservative blogosphere….he’s in severely deep Dukakis!
Here’s the deal. I believe everyone should blog. Except libtards. Oh sure, your blog will suck el grande uno compared to AWD’s. But you still should blog. At least your mom will read it. Remember, AWD was once a lowly newbie himself before becoming one of the top 50 minds and the number one love man in the conservative blogosphere. Once. Only for a few minutes. At first, you may not have much traffic on your blog but just think of all the libtards you can piss off when they come across your right-wing extremist rantings! That alone is worth the price of a Go-Daddy URL registration!
