Texas School To Let Teachers Carry Guns

Leave it to Texas to lead the way with a common sense solution to the school shooting problem.

How many kids would have died if the girl below was one of the teachers, and was armed?

Texas Teachers To Carry Guns

Fox News

A tiny Texas school district may be the first in the nation to pass a law specifically allowing teachers and staff to pack heat when classes begin later this month.

Trustees at the Harrold Independent School District approved a district policy change last October so employees can carry concealed firearms to deter and protect against school shootings, provided the gun-toting teachers follow certain requirements.

Superintendent David Thweatt told FOXNews.com the policy was initiated because of safety concerns.

“We have had employees assaulted before by people in the last several years,” Thweatt said. “I think that safety is big concern. We are seeing a lot of anger in society.”

A lot of schools here are closing their campus and fencing the grounds. Vehicles must clear an armed security officer/s to enter the campus. You better have a good reason and be expected/appointment with valid Id. There’s usually a dog around somewhere if needed. We used to use them at my old school, sniffing for drugs but they could be used for weapons as well. I can think of plenty of ways to secure a school. Most have an open door policy. Times are a changin’ and we gotta change with ‘em.

I actually taught at an alternative school in Texas for several years. Grades 6-12 and only the worst kids in school. Those who could no longer attend campus. We had secure steel doors at the entrance with a camera and an armed security officer who used a metal detector and frisked these guys. All “gangsta” wannabees… We used security cameras in the building as well. I never felt one second of fear from them or anyone possibly breaking in to do us harm. I didn’t carry a weapon but one undercover and two in blue were either in the room or the hallway and one always at the door. This was an at risk campus and not the norm of course BUT some of these measures need to be provided at all schools. Taking guns from responsible owners is NOT the answer. Determining who is responsible is another matter. I’ve seen kids with guns standing on the streets in Houston and Dallas. They weren’t republicans or conservatives as far as I could tell. For a few bucks…anybody can get one at anytime, license or no. If guns were outright BANNED…you’d never get ‘em. At least not enough to make a difference. You would only open the doors for every punk in the country to be that lil gangsta he would love to be, if he only had a pair. regards, Jay from Texas

This is actually old news. The school implemented this policy four years ago and has had no problems the liberal left are so afraid of. There are more security measures as well. Only one entry to the school which is reinforced bulletproof and only able to open from the inside. Security cameras are also used and more… It is also my understanding that other schools in Texas have since adopted this policy but have refrained from advertising the fact for obvious reasons. They/WE say don’t mess with Texas. We mean it. Keep your liberal politics to yourselves. We will not be sheep lead to slaughter. Not you personally of course, just anyone who may read this that feels the govt. can protect them from the insanity they have created. A society without God is Godless, one where Satan rules.
