There is another tragedy that has developed this month that I believe requires some attention. The Colorado massacre that took multiple lives, one as young as six years old; Here I discuss both aspects of the current situation and my personal beliefs to the issues.
Before the Shooting
JAMES HOLMES TOOK PHOTOS OF HIMSELF POSING WITH GUNS AND STICKING HIS TONGUE OUT WITH HIS IPHONE ROUGHLY 6 HOURS BEFORE BEGINNING HIS RAMPAGE. HIS RED HAIR IS EXTREMELY VISIBLE AS WELL AS THE FACT THAT HE WORE BLACK CONTACT LENSES.
To me, this is reminiscent of those pre-emptive photos and videos done by the Virginia Tech killer. Before his rampage, he took videos and photos; to me this shows not only premeditation but an almost gleeful knowledge of what they were playing showing both mental illness and blatant inability for remorse.
Reports say he may have tried to call his psychiatrist Lynn Fenton 9 minutes before beginning his rampage. Earlier he had told her that he had fantasies about killing a lot of people and even mailed her a notebook containing details about the attack.
Personally, I think this psychiatrist needs to be questioned a lot more than she has already been questioned. There is something suspicious about her disregard for reporting what she obviously was warned about. It reminds me of the Menendez brothers; while the involvement of the therapist was post-tragedy, his reporting has been said to be the only way that the brothers would have even been close to the prisons they now call home.
